Mountain View Industries is a large modular builder building modular and RTM Homes, and tiny homes, and cottages / cabins.  What we often see are similar misunderstandings of modular homes so we would like to share some facts.

Modular home facts

A Modular Home is appraised the same as it’s site built home.  Though often built stronger, and less site disruption.
A modular Home can be customized to any plan or dream.
We utilize full computer-aided drafting, and renderings to build your custom home.
A modular construction can be a home of any size, a hotel, or condo building. Can be any size, or look.
Modular construction can be used for commercial applications, like hotels, motels, camps, or developments and recreation properties.
Modular homes are real property.  No different than a site built home.
Modular homes can be built on piles, crawl spaces, basements, or full ICF basements.  We can even build basements in a factory and deliver those!
Modular homes are a greener way to build. Less waste, and better inventory control, combined with an indoor building environment all help reduce waste.
Modular homes are faster to build than site built traditionally built homes.  Move in Faster.  Also, your foundation can be built at the same time as the home.
Insurance premiums are the same and considered the same as site-built homes.
Taxes on modular homes are identical to site-built homes- for this we are sorry.
Modular homes can be built to withstand over km winds easily, as the first thing they do is move down the road.
Modular homes can be built for handy cap accessible living or aging in place.
