Ever wonder how a modular building is assembled. Or perhaps, you wonder how a large home can be made featuring all the benefits of a modular building here in Alberta, Sask, or B.C.? Well, I came across a Bob Villa video that shows a Large house modular build (I know we always get carried away and forget to video ours)
Because Modular homes are built indoors, in a factory type setting, they don’t experience the same weather and trade delays. Also, the home can be built at the same time as the foundation allowing a move in time of almost 50% faster then a site built. Also, as you see in the video, there are no limits as to what can be accomplished. Because Modular construction is designed to be moved and deal with the issues of Highway winds and lifting and moving, they are built stronger than a site built home. Then we can crane it into place with minimum site damage and disruption.
